Volunteer

If you enjoy working in a team environment, have an interest in municipal government and community events or want to learn more about video and television production--- you may want to consider becoming a volunteer with OCMS.

Volunteers play a vital role in the production of community and municipal programming on CATV 2 and CitiCable 10. OCMS uses volunteers for both studio and remote productions in duties such as camera operator, floor director, audio and other positions.

OCMS provides a fun, safe and learning environment for volunteers. No experience is necessary, but volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate. OCMS volunteers set their own hours and can select the areas or positions in which they would like to contribute their time and talents. OCMS volunteers are recognized through promotional goodies, holiday gatherings and other programs.

The first step to get involved as a volunteer is to complete our Online Application. Click on “Volunteer – Oshkosh Community Media Services”. You will be asked to create an online account and enter your contact information. Once we receive your application, a Media Services staff person will contact you to set up an appointment and tour of the OCMS facility.

For any additional questions on volunteering please email Andy Radig or call the OCMS offices at 236-5261. You can always visit the OCMS offices on the first floor of City Hall, 215 Church Avenue.

Thank you for considering OCMS as an option for your volunteering experience!
