FAQ

Q: What is OCMS?
A: OCMS is Oshkosh Community Media Services—consisting of CitiCable 10 government television programming, CATV 2 community television programming and WOCT 101.9 FM community radio programming. OCMS also coordinates the City’s public information efforts during emergency situations and provides other municipal and public affairs programs and services. OCMS is a division of the City of Oshkosh under Administrative Services.


Q: Where can I find program schedules for OCMS stations?
A: Program schedules for CATV 2, CitiCable 10 and WOCT 101.9 FM can be found on their links on our website www.OshkoshCommunityMedia.org. The CATV 2 and CitiCable 10 weekly schedules are also displayed at the top of each hour on the CATV 2 & CitiCable 10 bulletin board pages shown daily between Midnight and Noon.


Q: Are any OCMS programs available for viewing on the web?
A: CitiCable 10 government meetings, municipal series and public affairs programs are available for viewing on the web through the Video Streaming link on our website.

Q: How do I post a bulletin board announcement on CATV 2?
A: The Bulletin Board link on our website allows public service announcements for Oshkosh 501(3) non-profits to be submitted electronically for posting on the CATV 2 bulletin board. Residents can also complete and submit announcements in person in the OCMS offices. There is no cost to post an announcement.


Q: When are you open to the public?
A: The OCMS facility is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Evening hours vary. Please visit the "About Us" link on our website for more information.


Q: How can my organization or event be a guest on “Oshkosh Today”?
A: The award-winning “Oshkosh Today” public affairs program features interviews and segments on various Oshkosh area non-profit organizations, events, programs and/or services. “Oshkosh Today” appearances are generally scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance. There is no cost to be a guest. For “Oshkosh Today” scheduling please contact Connie Carmical at (920) 236-5179 or email her at: ccarmical@ci.oshkosh.wi.us


Q: How can I get a copy of CATV 2 or CitiCable 10 programs?
A: Requests for copies of CATV 2 or CitiCable 10 programs must be made in person and pre-paid at the OCMS office. Please call the OCMS office (920) 236-5179 for more information on copy requests.


Q: What was that song I just heard on WOCT 101.9 FM?
A: To find out what’s played recently, what’s currently playing or what’s coming up to be played on WOCT 101.9 FM, please visit the “What’s Playing Now” drop down menu from the WOCT link on our website.


Q: How can I participate with OCMS?
A: CATV 2 equipment and facilities are available for use by Oshkosh residents and Oshkosh non-profit organizations. Individuals and groups can take training classes in various production techniques to produce their own programs to air on CATV 2. WOCT 101.9 FM provides Oshkosh residents and groups the opportunity to produce and air their own community radio programs. For more information about WOCT, please visit the Friends of OCM.
